There’s no question that the cost of fabric has reached the point that it’s just laughable now. Sure, it used to be no big deal to go down to the store and pick up a few yards of fabric for your next project and not really give it any thought. Unfortunately, those days are long gone.

So one of the things I’ve been focusing on lately is repurposing material I already own, including the shirts we have in the house that just aren’t worn much any more.
Even if you don’t have old shirts or other clothing to use, a quick trip to a local second hand store and you could easily walk away with some pretty inexpensive, and useable fabric.
While putting together another article, 25 Things You Can Make With Only 2 Yards of Fabric, I came across this idea of making bow ties out of old shirts while scrolling Reddit. And I wanted to share it with you.
